12 Things to Do, See, and Eat While at Rocky Mountain Cyberspace Symposium (RMCS) Feb 2-5

Heading to the Rocky Mountain Cyberspace Symposium (RMCS) from February 2–5? If you’ve been before, you know that while the sessions are world-class, the setting at the Broadmoor and Colorado Springs is amazing.

Between deep dives into implementing the DoD Zero Trust strategy with Trellix and learning how to test your architecture with AttackIQ, you’re going to need a break. Colorado Springs is a high-altitude playground of tech, history, and incredible food.

Based on our years attending RMCS, below is FRC’s curated list of the top things to do, see, and eat while you’re in town for RMCS.

1. The FRC “Tech Stop” (Booth 153)

Before you hit the mountains, make sure your first stop is the exhibit hall. We at FRC are hosting a both and would love to talk to you about your mission’s needs. Specifically, we can dive deep on:

  • Trellix: Learn how we’re securing the mission with advanced security platforms, including achieving OPORD-8600.
  • AttackIQ: Discover how to test your security controls through continuous threat modeling.

FRC will be exhibiting at the Rocky Mountain Cyber Symposium (RMCS), Booth 153, February 2-5, in Colorado Springs, where we will be presenting Trellix and AttackIQ. Visit https://fedresources.com/event-rocky-mountain-cyber-symposium-2026/ for more information about RMCS and to schedule a meeting with our team at the event.

2. On-Site Broadmoor Classics

  • The Golden Bee: A Broadmoor staple. This authentic 19th-century English pub was transported panel-by-panel from London. Expect ragtime piano sing-alongs, hearty ales, and the tradition of “bee” stickers being flipped onto your clothes. It’s the unofficial social hub of the symposium.
  • Seven Falls: Located right on the property, this series of seven cascading waterfalls is known as the “Grandest Mile of Scenery in Colorado.” In February, the frozen formations are spectacular, especially when illuminated at night.

3. For the High-Tech & History Buff

  • U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum: Located downtown, this is one of the most technologically advanced museums in the world. It uses RFID-enabled visitor badges to customize interactive displays based on your interests—a feature any cybersecurity pro will nerd out over.
  • Space Foundation Discovery Center: This is the region’s only dedicated space and technology center. Don’t miss the “Science On a Sphere” exhibit, which projects real-time global satellite data onto a giant suspended globe.
  • Peterson Air and Space Museum: Located on Peterson Space Force Base, this is Colorado’s oldest aviation museum. It’s a perfect fit for the RMCS crowd given its focus on NORAD history and space defense. (Note: Check access requirements in advance as it is an active base).
  • National Museum of World War II Aviation: Features a stunning collection of restored, flyable aircraft. Ask about the “Westpac Restorations” tour to see active engineering and restoration of massive warbirds.

4. Outdoor Adventure

  • Garden of the Gods Park: A National Natural Landmark with towering red rock formations. It’s a quick 15-minute drive from the symposium… perfect for a morning hike or a scenic sunset drive.
  • The Manitou Incline: For the physically ambitious, this former cable car track gains 2,000 feet of elevation in less than a mile. It’s a local rite of passage, but remember—reservations are required!
  • Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center: Located in Divide (about 45 minutes west), this sanctuary offers a rare chance to see wolves, coyotes, and foxes in a natural setting. It’s a beautiful drive, but reservations are highly recommended.

5. Speakeasies & Underground Eats

  • District Elleven: Hidden behind T-Byrds Tacos downtown, you enter through a giant safe door to find a dimly lit, Prohibition-era whiskey joint. It’s the perfect place for a quiet, high-level debrief after a long day of sessions.
  • The Rabbit Hole: Enter through what looks like a subway entrance on the sidewalk and go underground to this “Wonderland-inspired” upscale restaurant and cocktail bar. The atmosphere is as good as the food.

See you at RMCS!

Remember to stop by Booth 153 to see the FRC team! We’d love to show you how Trellix and AttackIQ can transform your security posture.
