FRC was recently featured on Erie News Now as part of their Giving you the Business Segment sponsored by the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership. We sat down with ENN’s Eva Mastromatteo to discuss our investments in the region, our growth strategy, and the upcoming Erie Summit. Read what they had to say below or head over to their site to watch the video.

Growing Erie’s Tech Future

As technology continues to evolve at a rapid pace, one Erie-based company is embracing that change while creating opportunities for local graduates and expanding its influence across the globe.

Inside a bright, modern office in downtown Erie, FRC has experienced significant growth since its founding. What began in 2018 with only a handful of employees has grown into a team of approximately 50 professionals working from the company’s State and 14th Street location.

Built in Erie, Led From Erie

Leading that growth is CEO Jeremy Young, a Cathedral Prep graduate who launched the company while working in Washington, D.C. Young said FRC was founded as a job creation initiative, with the goal of bringing high-tech career opportunities to the Erie region.

Today, the company specializes in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and applied data solutions, serving clients that include agencies within the U.S. government. Much of FRC’s workforce comes from cybersecurity and technology programs at Erie-area colleges, helping keep local talent in the region while contributing to nationally significant projects.

Keeping Local Talent Local

FRC’s growth story is also a workforce story. By recruiting from nearby colleges and universities, the company gives graduates a reason to build their careers at home rather than leaving for larger markets. That investment strengthens the local economy while connecting Erie talent to meaningful, mission-driven work.

Bringing the Community Together at the FRC Erie Summit

As the technology sector continues to expand, FRC is also focused on education and community engagement. The company is preparing to host the FRC Erie Summit, an event designed to share industry knowledge, discuss emerging technologies, and connect professionals, students, and business leaders.

Amanda Duncan, who is helping lead this year’s summit efforts, said the event is intended to help educate and inspire those interested in the future of technology. Organizers note that tickets are free, reflecting FRC’s commitment to making technology education accessible while supporting workforce development in the region.

The FRC Erie Summit takes place Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at the Bayfront Convention Center in Erie, Pennsylvania.
