Trellix’s Recent Security Issue: Learn More

Trellix reported that an unauthorized party gained access to a segment of its source code repository, but the company emphasized that there are currently no indications that the code has been misused.

Trellix responded immediately by initiating an internal investigation, engaging third-party forensic specialists, and informing law enforcement. While the scope of what may have been accessed is still being evaluated, the company noted that its review so far has not uncovered any evidence of tampering, compromise, or abuse of its source code, nor any disruption to how code is released or distributed.

In a public statement, Trellix explained that it is continuing to assess the situation and plans to share additional information with the security community once the investigation is complete.
